Where the prices come from.
Live listings from real merchants, matched to catalogue parts by rule, never by a
language model. A merchant that blocks us is reported as blocked rather than shown
as having no stock — a price tracker that hides its own gaps is worse than none.
How it works.
No AI anywhere in the data path
Listings bind to parts through a scorer built from stated rules: the model
number must appear in the title, a suffix like 6248R is treated as a
different processor, and accessories, multi-unit lots and complete systems are
rejected outright. Every match records the reasons that produced it.
Derived values are labelled
Some specifications are read from a model designation rather than stated by
the vendor — a Supermicro H12 board is SP3, a GM1000 supply is
1000 W. Those are marked derived wherever they appear, and a
compatibility conflict against one is a warning rather than a block.
Silence is not approval
The compatibility engine reports what it can prove. An empty result means
nothing is known to be wrong, not that a build is verified — a part whose
specification the catalogue does not carry cannot be checked, and the report
says so rather than implying a clean bill of health.
